Shearer has nothing to do with the injury situation. Unless he's somehow responsible for the players' fitness.

Robson was under pressure for the same reason Worthington is now - because he made some poor signings, appeared to have lost the dressing room and slipped way below the standards he'd set himself. And he was also becoming increasingly senile ...
