Palace making transfers like theres no tomorrow...
Anyone think this is a bit drastic the manner they are delving into the transfer market so quickly, paying 1.1m for Ward, 500k + for macken, and 500k for McAnuff etc..
I'm not sure about this Ward fella, haven't heard much about him before we went down to be honest, 1.1m seems a hell of a lot for a centre back in my eyes that is not yet proven in the prem. It might prove to be a masterstroke though.
However, i've got used to the fact that when we are not considered contenders for a player not to be disheartened. I have full confidence in Worthy's abilty to sign the type of player he and we need, why people seem so impatient that we are not out there being linked with him, him and him, and signing him and him, is beyond me.
He's shown us before he can pick up brilliant signings, and i suppose his downfalls are there, but much less than his golden signings. Everyone bigs up Dowie, he signed Sorondo and that other south american that they got rid of, lakis aswell all were quick signings that were made in hast. Lets just relax, stop worryin about worthy being on holiday and how that will prevent us signing people (which by the way is bollocks), I look forward to us making some excellent well though out, money wise and prospect wise this summer...watch this space.
