Not just now, will have taken it's toll on him. Why do you think a lot of ex pro's struggle with depression, suicide attempts etc when they get injured and/or their careers start to slide. Ruddy went from being a potential England number one (and a possible big money move to Chelsea/Arsenal etc, to warming the bench for us). After years of trying to become a professional footballer, I'd say it's understandable he might be struggling now. Gary Speed was fast becoming a successful national boss and was very wealthy indeed. No one's life is cushy if they have internal issues they're battling.
