The Lisbie thing

It's Hughes all over again.

I said a while back that I wasn't surprised Worthy signed him - managers will always sign players that leave the fans mystified. A manager looks at his squad, sees a lack of something and signs a player who has a bit of that but who needs work in other areas.

the idea is - ooh we need legs in midfield, the boy Hughes can run all day, we'll bring him in and teach him to play football, bob's yer uncle.

Problem is that Nigel cannot coach poor players into good ones.

he's looking at Lisbie, seeing all the qualities that Curbishley sees, and thinking he can make him into a goalscorer.

Nigel - YOU CAN'T. Don't be a pisshead.
