why does everything have to be 'ultra-defensive' or 'gung-ho'?

both are pretty stupid most of the time.

You need to try and find a balance. I haven't seen us play 'ultra-defensive' once for example. Not even sure about 'gung-ho' (Newcastle was the closest).
