FAO anyone who knows about the history of the City Wall
I was on Bakers Road this morning and noticed that some of the old city wall has red brick sections. Would this be original brickwork or a later repair, as the other bit round the corner on Barn Road seems to be all flint stone?
Also, how old is the wall? As old as the castle? And why is cow tower named thus?
Cheers.
