I thought our transfer policy was pretty clear
We wanted to make sure that we didn't employ players that were not an improvement on what we have got.
We wanted to strengthen but the players we wanted were ambitious and not willing to come for a relegation fight under a barely known manager. They went to Southampton etc
We could have offered wages above our cap of 35k for journey men like lambert and Cole but I think we wanted players with sell on.
As it is we have a proper war chest for Jan and we will still find it hard to recruit... but if do go down we won't be screwed.
For my money I want to see us go for it but then I am a gambler. ...
