Then lay it at 2.04 for ?9.80 on betfair for example to lose 20p, 20p or 19p

Only thing is you pay 5% commission on winnings on betfair due to their bigger odds so if the evens shot lost you'd pay just under 50p of the ?9.80 'win' on betfair so you'd need to adjust accordingly to take that into account if you wanted.
