Newspaper claim - one or more board members blocked a ?7m bid by WHU for Ashton?
The piece says WHU were given a clear indication of what was needed at the FA Cup game and the piece stated the rumour is that Delia blocked the move.
no player sold unless its a unanimous board decision
Furthermore the piece stated that a senior source denied the board was split re Ashton transfer or that Delia had said no to a transfer.
It went onto say that West Ham have been told that ?1m of add ons (in addition to the ?7m) may change the Norwich boards mind.

Last season it was known that it would take an ?8m or more bid for Ashton to be transferred....so it shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone that the club is holding out for that figure.
Just makes you wonder if West Ham are trying to apply pressure via the media.
