Maths or morale.

Just a thought about today's games.
With villa - brom, newscastle - Watford and muff - Sunderland all going on mathematically we would like 3 boring 0 - 0 draws.
However, I was thinking that the morale impact of a win may be more effective. For example, if muff get spanked it could start the perennial Sunderland run of games which we don't want, but for a newly promoted to get badly beaten by clubs expected to be at the bottom in quick succession that smug overconfidence could start to wither and they could fall away.
Smililarly if the attritional pulis engineers a revenge battering on the slightly bi polar sherwood then his "positive mental attitude" could broken and better still he might have a proper meltdown in the post match press conference.
Finally I can't really see Newcastle actually getting relegated so a massive home win will happily knock the stuffing out of Watford
