I didnt have any probs hiring a car in lanzarote last year....

Apart from pre-booking a decent size estate months in advance and on arrival finding a s**tty little fiat hatch back waiting for me - at the same price - the cheeky bastards! Managed to haggle them down tho but still pissed as we needed an estate for all the luggage.....

The drivers license was the last thing on their minds, just eager to get me to sign a gazzillion pieces of paper - mainly insurance disclaimers!!
