I think it's a good thing that we are unique in not having them....

ID cards do not stop terrorism,look what happened in Spain.
Also the London bombings wouldn't of been prevented from happening by ID cards because the bombers were living and working in Britain as citizens.
Before they did it people just thought they were eveyday blokes just living their lives.
