ID cards
Just like to point out that while I may or may not agree with various comments made to my post below, only Hertz van Rental actually gave any answer that wasn't basically uninformed paranoia. I know a lot of you well enough (or as well as you can through this medium) to know you could do a lot better if you actually thought about it rather than give the standard knee jerk reaction.
Did you realise the the UK is one of the few countries in the "civilised" world where ID cards are not compulsory ? Do you think that it makes life better or worse ?
Do you think that it's better or worse that you as a UK Citizen have to have a passport to travel within the EU, but I don't because I just use my ID card ? Do you think I along with the rest of Europe, am living in a goldfish bowl ?
