Perhaps if you explain what the two line comment meant

in a few more words it might make a bit more sense to anyone that didn't get the joke or find it distasteful.

It's highly probable it will still found to be in poor taste (by myself and others) once you have explained, but at least then we would know what you meant rather than judging it on only two small lines of text.

I'm pretty sure in court defendants are allowed a fair trial which includes the chance to elaborate on the crime they're being accused of.
