I think it's simplistic to group fans into two groups

Obviously there's a spectrum of opinions about him. By no means do I think he's about to turn it all around, but I'll support him as long as he's here, particularly as he comes across as a sincere and likeable guy. I also appreciate his efforts since he came back from St Etienne - I suspect that a lot of players would have just blubbed and waited for their agent to engineer a move. But whatever gets you through the night, I guess.
