Hello all

Greetings to one and all (even the long standing scumtrolls), after a long summer off from the wrath. It's been a while since I posted, although I did "enjoy" our weekend game in the COD with Dubbers et al.

There seems to be quite a bit of gloom and doom on here about the lack of signings. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to see us sign someone glamorous, but as we know only too well, foreigners with funny sounding names and expensive price tags don't necessarily work out well.

FWIW, I thought we did well at the weekend, and in a parallel universe where refs are competent, could well have got a point (or more) against a side tipped to do very well. Not to say there weren't some disappointments - yes the defending wasn't inspiring at times. But based on what I saw, even if we don't sign anyone, I don't think we're on course to have a Derby-last-time-in-the-prem season. I really don't.

Sounds like we are going to bring someone in this week, so lets see what happens. But one narrow/harsh/unlucky home defeat to CP doesn't seem to justify hitting the panic button to me. Quite fancy us to do something at Sunderland too.
