70 years since the bomb in Hiroshima

has got me thinking about my dad.

He was in the Navy during the war and in 1945 his ship, HMS Speaker was sailing off the coast of Japan. They were all taken on a visit to Nagasaki a month after the bomb had been dropped there. He brought these photos back with him. It's incredible how devastated the city was.
