I can understand peoples frustration and worry
But I really do trust AN - Whether the board let him down remains to be seen, also could be misjudged as only seen him in Championship with the best squad. I think the feeling is a media arrogance towards the Premiership, as last time we went up we were constantly being told "It's impossible to survive" when we did we were told "second season will get you" when it didn't and we finally went down it was a case of "Told you so", Or Paul Merson watching us play one game away from home, where the only way Wigan managed to score against us was a penalty that was committed outside the box to go on to say after the game "Norwich won't keep a clean sheet all season" that is a bold and arrogant Premiership "Expert" statement that teams like little old Norwich have to put up with. Yes it's impossible to win the Premiership for a team like us, but to survive isn't as impossible as they make out.
However in regard to lack of signings it doesn't concern me as I think we have brought in wisely so far. Look at QPR every season they went up, they went crazy and it completely unbalances the side.
The players we have can step up with a decent manager at the helm, something we didn't have at the start of last season or the time we were relegated from the Premiership. Just look at the difference in Johnson, Redmond, Ruddy and Tetty.
I feel like when we went up with Worthy, we got rid of the heart and Soul of the club, the players who basically got us up, Malky and Roberts, players that would die for the club and replaced them with Helveg and Jonson on a last wage kind of deal, with relegation release clauses so they left us at the drop of a relegation hat. I'd rather give these guys a chance with a few very good editions than the 10 new Watford players and the 9 that Bournemouth have brought in - What does that say about the players who were good enough to get these teams up, it can't help morale and the balance of wages from the ones that are on Championship wages last year and the new big boy signings could cause jealousy.
Disagree if you like but it's my opinion of what I've seen so far.
I know too many words!
