With the right set up you can watch almost anything
Including stuff you didn't know existed. Takes a little bit of tech savvy and some patience but could be set up in an hour or so. There are plenty of guides and people to help but it's fairly simple.
I don't think chrome cast can do the same.
You could conceivably ditch sky but depends if you like HD sports and you have a reliable interwebs connection.
