Thanks for posting - living 2 hours north of Seattle...
people here are aware of the threat, but it is not in anybody's daily thoughts (not even close). I've been here 15 years and we had one quake of 5.1 (the first I had ever been in) and it was a mild curiosity, with nobody seriously hurt.
The odds are high (60% apparently) that here will be a big quake in the next 100 years, but that threat is balanced up by the reality of living in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
