Yeh I remember everyone walking home because the tubes were obviously shut.

I used to listen to an album on my ipod going into and away from work every day at the time.
The morning that happened the album sounded happy and jolly as usual, on the way home though that day, the exact same album seemed to have changed to all be about the crap in life and sombre stuff given what had just happened. Whenever I hear that album again now, brings me straight back to that day, and the whole shock of it walking home thinking What the Hell just happened!!

Was made worse a couple weeks later (I think on the 21st possibly) when another London 7/7 style bomb scare happened, fortunately though it was either a false alarm or it was just prevented from happening

Sad times :(
