cool, v useful thanks
I'd completely forgotten the obvious link with Mr B's Emporium (in fact I think I told you that he was a City fan!).
Writing was my first love and I've always fancied having a crack at it, but the day job didn't allow for it. Now I have something approaching a 9-5 existence I fancy having a proper crack at it, but have been using 'but I can't draw!' as an excuse for procrastination...
Good point re the business p.o.v. I could write a ton of short stories based on the antics of our dippy spaniel, but whether the market needs another Spot or Kipper is another matter entirely.
(When brainstorming with my wife a while back we decided we'd take a stall at the Christmas markets and bring Ozzy along as he's such a gorgeous softy that kids & parents would just *have* to stop and tickle him and "oh, what a nice book that looks...". Rather scuppered by the fact that he has now developed the annoying habit of barking at 3-7 year olds.... )
