One thing I don't understand regarding RVW

is why he hasn't been put on a weight training to programme to add significant muscle mass (not BB level, but strong for football). Strength is an incredibly crucial asset to have playing in the premier league (rightly or wrongly). It would improve his hold up play by a significant amount, for a start. His confidence would probably be improved too, just by having a greater presence that defenders would have to respect.

He's already slow, so adding mass isn't going to be a problem when he already relies on clever movement, which seems to be the one genuine skill he has! In fact, adding mass to the legs could even improve his pace slightly, if he works with a sprinting coach to work on running technique.

Honestly, I'm hoping Alex Neil does something regarding this, because otherwise we are likely to be stuck with a dud. That's unless the fitness coaches have already tried and the lad just has poor genetics in terms of bulking...
