Difficult to see a player picking us out of the choice he looks like he might have.

But good to see the clubs linked with such players, the fees they might command and the wages they would expect.

A statement of intent.

There will be those (on the Pink Un probably) saying we are being "little old Norwich" because, deep down, we know such players aren't going to come here and its all an 'excuse' not to sign anyone-hey, no money spent but we tried folks.

But it gets us out there and other players will have noted we are amongst those teams looking to press on and be ambitious.

And, sooner rather than later, we'll impress someone enough for them to sign-and, quite honestly, if they see us as a stepping stone to even bigger things, I'm good with that if thats what they really do (ie) impress massively, play a big part in two good seasons for us and then leave for at least twice what we paid for them.
