disappointing that with all the riches floating about
clubs still want to penny pinch by trying weasally distinctions between full-time, part-time, FTC, third party employed etc staff when all we're talking about is ?1.35p/h (so barely ?2.5k pa assuming FTE?) per person.
I bet clubs give away 6 or 7 figure sums in a heartbeat without thinking during transfer negotiations, and yet paying the living wage is a "significant annual investment". Bollocks is it, relative to everything else that clubs will be spunking their cash on this year.
Every single person employed (directly or indirectly) by each Premier League club could be paid the Living Wage and it would barely affect their bottom line at the end of the season.
