Go Gatorskins or Continental 4000GPS everytime
A good pair of tyres such as those two kept at the correct PSI (min 100 up to 120psi on a road bike) will give you good protection, not 100% obviously but very good. What is also forgotten is the weight of the Slime and the effect it has on rolling. Also, if you get a puncture and the Slime doesn't work, applying a patch is much harder as it doesn't stick to the Slime. If you replace the tube then you scrap the Slime anyway. Hope it helps.
