bit of a shock tbf. I thought he was going to pull it off.

And I was also a bit disappointed in the lack of preamble for Stannis' end as well. How annoying for him to escape a battle hugely outnumbered, kill some more people as he limps away, only to be tamely dispatched in that manner with a dull "go on then, do your duty".

Too many unresolved plotlines for my liking. Queen blond and boring, Jamie and daughter, Sansa and Theon. Not good things to end a series with imo
