I'm in a similar situation having recently upped sticks and left my partner and lovely flat in Brussels for a great job in Bristol. Okay, it's not quite Singapore, but it still required us to make a decision about our future, taking into account both our respective professional aspirations and our relationship. Ultimately I made the decision in a rather elementary way by writing a list of pros and cons and totting them up. Personally I think I'd struggle in the heat of Singapore, but if you think the opportunities it would provide are worth the upheaval, then go for. Long-distance can definitely work if both halves are committed to it.
