Depending on what causes the breakdown of the bladder, I can see a case where nitrogen might help.

Disclaimer here that I Am An Idiot. But bear with me:

Lots of organic processes, those carried out by bacteria, fungi, etc, require oxygen. Yeast turning sugar into alcohol and CO₂, for instance - it requires O₂

So if the breakdown of the bladder is caused by something organic, then perhaps a very nitrogen rich environment might help that. It would only slow it down though, I suspect. You'd never achieve a 100% nitrogen inflation, so there'd be some atmospheric oxygen.
