He's an emergency RB. Not a starting Premier League RB. We need to not be thinking in

terms of our promotions under Worthington or Lambert. We need to be looking to strengthen as we should have before our relegation season under Hughton.

Get in an Olsson-standard (or better) RB, a Bassong standard (or better) CB, left winger (doesn't mean we drop Johnno, just have options) and another Jerome style player to replace him if 1) he doesn't step up to it or 2) gets injured.

Then get in two or three major upgrades in basically whichever position has the right players out there who might be available for the right price!

If we can't sell Ricky for a decent price, fine. Bring him back into the fold. He can fight for his place. Maybe he is better coming from that position than starting as one expected to be the star signing.
