I think this will be one of the downsides of Neil as a manager

most of the really promising loans seem to be made between managers that know each other well or are connected in some way.

Neil, being a limited player and a young manager, doesn't have these kind of connections. So I doubt we will get anyone special.

It's the same with signings. Managers who are big names like Laudrup or Koeman are able to attract good overseas players quite easily - even to fairly unfashionable clubs.
