I went to school and scouts with Paul and played footie

with him after school most nights on the footie pitch off Lodge Lane (now gone). His dad was one of my teachers.
I recall Paul often played in wellies lol. Helped him get power in his shots when he got proper boots. He also played in the same team as me for the scouts. Had a younger brother Ian too who was handy.

Paul's son Max now plays for Bolton. His other son plays for Nantwich.

I think Paul went on to play for Crewe after us.
