This is exactly it. I've heard quite a lot that "Top Gear is Clarkson" or somesuch in

a similar vein, not always from know-nothing c**ts, but it certainly is a staple of the average KNC, but it really isn't just him, or him and his bedemined compatriots.

The presenters are a big part of it, and possibly the biggest part, but it's simply not possible to know that from the outside. There's a big team of talented designers, editors, producers and directors and general creatives that contribute to that show, and they know what they're doing. I'd back them to make a decent enough show.

It won't be as popular as Top Gear was, initially, that's a self-fulfilling prophesy.
