the single most important part of gun licensing is the control of firearms in the public domain. if the govt were to charge 200 quid a pop then this would result in a large number of people to not bother their arse to register and save 150 sovs or so, times are hard in case you haven't noticed swanning around with world leaders and international rock and roll stars and that as you do. therefore the lack of licensing means that there would be a lot more unlicensed firearms knocking around which are more likely to end up in the wrong hands and increase the likelihood of innocent people getting shot in the head.

it has f**k all to do with toffs and grouse moors. unless that suits your perspective then yes it has everything to do with toffs so in that case my advice to you is not to vote tory or lib dem. if however someone tries to force you to vote tory or lib dem, shoot them.
