Right, well here is why I would consider an Apple Watch and not an Android one....
1) It might be ugly but it is less ugly than most currently on the market.
2) It offers far more functionality in combination with my iPhone than the current smart phones. I am not moving my phone of choice to Android (and already own an iPhone 6 and 5).
3) Historically Apple products have a far higher resale value than most when it it time to upgrade or replace
4) Historically Apple products have a far longer lifetime than others. So I trust the investment more. To get new versions of Android you almost have to replace your smartphone every year. Similar re: Windows. E.g. I am typing this on a 2009 iMac which is flying on the very latest version of OS X. I still have an old MacBook Air from 2008 which is also still flying, also on the very latest version of OS X. Despite having bought a new one I still use the old one as a work laptop. And I still have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 5, both on the latest iOS versions, and they all still work fine.
People talk about Apple being expensive. But how many times would I have had to buy a new lappy since 2008 in order to have one which still works perfectly well on the very latest Windows, and which I didn't need to re-install 3 times a year or do a massive RAM upgrade every year ?
Same with smartphones. Most comparable Android phones are not that much difference in price from an iPhone, yet when the new Android versions come out you need to switch phone far quicker than with the iPhone.
My ex's mother is still happily using my old iPhone 4. And I shall find a good use for my iPhone 5 when I pick it up tomorrow having had the battery, camera and on button replaced for free at the Apple Store.
Just quality basically. And I prefer the user interface. I really don't understand why people attack Apple so much. And refer to Apple users as sheep when Android market share is 47% vs iOS 43%, and Windows market share is somewhere near 90%.
