Suggest you speak to your sons GP and ask for advice. They can reccomend consultants in that specific field. This is the course of action i have taken..... My GP offered either a consultant in the NHS and advised typical waiting times but also advised a consultant at a private hospital. You can get a referal to either.
Also it may be worth asking your GP about private healthcare cover. You can have cover for as little as ?20 a month depending on the extent of cover.
