But the reason for that isn't just context, ie. what both inherited here. It's style

We were almost never exciting to watch under Hughton. We were very often very exciting to watch under Lambert.

We were almost never out of a game under Lambert; we were dead and buried when we went 2 goals behind (towards the end, even 1 goal behind) under Hughton.

Hughton talked his players and the whole club down; Lambert talked his players and the whole club up.

And given that hardly anyone thought we could do that - go up AGAIN in 10/11, then look so comfortable in the Prem - the reason we did was, self-evidently, Lambert's motivational and man-management skills. At Norwich, these were off the charts. Whereas Hughton's motivational and man-management skills were...?

They were the antithesis of one another in almost everything - but one man 'fit' and 'got' us perfectly, the other never did.
