Light-touch community moderation would be good.

Based on (something similar to) like/dislike button clicks.

If a post gets a number of like/dislike clicks, and the ratio of dislikes to likes is high enough, it gets hidden (not deleted). A poster gets a high enough proportion of posts fall foul of that ^^ they go onto a "hidden by default" list. And then mods can over-ride any of the automatic actions manually, in case someone's maliciously targeted with dislikes.

Everyone gets their own setting for showing the hidden stuff, if they want, if that's their bag.

If you got the ratios and proportions right there'd be no more Selwyns, no more Bucks, no more MindTheGap. Etc.

Hashtag Utopia.
