Does Adams know what his best starting eleven is?

What concerns me is that we get into a play-off situation (only the most optimistic must surely now consider automatic promotion to be possible) and he puts out a side which doesn't come out of the blocks until we are a goal or two down and there isn't time to recover the situation.
There is nothing I would like more than to see him turn this situation around (again) and for us to gain promotion but the board must be quietly considering the replacement option for EVERY possible scenario including scraping through via the play-offs.
A little bird tells me that many of the players weren't well yesterday, but we need decisive actions and honest communication if he isn't going to completely lose the fans.
