Because you know that is likely to be drip fed from on high. Continually saying you will turn it round is not necessarily courage or strength. It can equally be delusion. It could also be argued that he has weakened the squad through his handling if the disciplinary issues. All in all those reasons for him continuing ignore the most important factors.
