What on the surface of it is the arrival of a highly respected coach with a damn good cv. Some might even say, a big name, albeit as a coach. In normal circumstances phelan would be universally welcomed, but in our current position, it clouded the issue. Being an eternal pessimist I can't see anything other than a defeat at Wigan, or wherever at the moment. I will tune in and listen, but more in hope than expectation, just like last season. As we have consistently failed to beat inferior sides than Huddersfield this season, I can't see more than a point from that. The only difference will be that the crowd will not wait until after the whistle to make their feelings known. All avoidable.
