I use a Chromecast, and netflix. I think I've only ever cast it from my phone or ipad.....

although it could be cast from your laptop but only in google chrome, which allows tab casting. I've not used the tab casting feature in chrome recently though as I found the picture a bit choppy. It's a great bit of kit to use with an android phone and the showbox app though. And most of the higher end android phones (although not HTC One M8) now allow screen mirroring from your phone to to chromecast too, which will be handy for lots of people.

In summary I recommend both NetFlix and chromecast.
