I forged a career for myself with hard work and self-training

since the qualifications I did get from university are almost useless in any practical sense for getting a job, except a s**t one in academia perhaps.
This is why I moved abroad.

regardless of that, I obviously feel bad for people who have opportunities denied to them through no fault of their own and think that the best way to resolve that is by having a fair society.

Remember that immgrants are trying to better themselves as well. They're willing to leave their countries, their families, their culture behind for a chance at a better future. Why should we necessarily deny them that opportunity?
