Tricky this

I'm afraid as a responsible dog owner the onus is on you to make sure your dog doesn't chase farm stock. So if you were going through a field of sheep you'd put it on a lead (if you couldn't train it to be safe to sheep).

Pheasants are tricky because they aren't technically stock - but gamekeepers understandably think they are!

If it's a short bit of path then use a lead. If it's a long bit of the walk, and the dog can't be trained (what is it?) then find a different walk
