I think it would have been really positive. The fact that he'd scoured the whole of

Europe and everything would have shown that he had learned from previous mistakes and had realised that you had to cast the net far and wide to try and ensure success as much as is possible. It would also have shown that he recognised the importance of getting back up at the first attempt and that you therefore appoint the strongest possible candidate.

There would have been street parties, I'm sure and also people would have been making Chase masks, the kiddies would have had Chase balloons, heck he would have hailed as a hero, freeman of the City, a true ledge! Good Ole Bobby....
