An on-pitch apology would be great, though

Ladies, Gentlemen and Fans of Ipswich. It may have come to your attention that I inadvertently referred to some of you as "the great unwashed". I wish unreservedly to apologise and to make clear my fervent belief that many of you have in fact taken a shower as recently as last week, whether you needed it or not. And frankly from the sight of you it's extremely unlikely any of you could reasonably be considered "great", so I apologise fully for having implied otherwise. I have learned from this experience and I hope the work of the new Brenner Woolley Foundation, which I have recently incorporated, will go some small way to repairing the great damage I have done.
