Probably, unless she's into tech wizardry to work around it

I'm pretty sure you can install Linux/Ubuntu on them to get a proper OS (which may or may not then enable iTunes etc to run on it, I'm not techy enough to know) as I nearly bought one that had been configured to operate like a laptop.

But in short yes I think you've bought the wrong thing.

Great little machines though if you just want something for browsing the web etc but prefer proper keyboards over tablets.
