I've never had a homemade one from a deli etc, just the supermarket ones.

I will try a homemade one.

Perhaps they are not like pork pies in the sense that a pork pie from a supermarket can be passable, not really a patch on a good homemade one, but perfectly ok? Well to my tastes at least.

Next time I'm in a deli or a cafe and there is a homemade scotch egg, I'll try one.
