important to those at the game, but abroad?

I'm not sure how much the 'fans and atmosphere' in the ground is relevant to those watching a small screen in a packed bar in Lagos.

Plus the crowd that turns up to the overseas game is likely to be just as loud and rowdy (if not more so?) as a domestic crowd. The Wembly NFL games still generate a good atmosphere. It'd be the same for a competitive overseas Premier League game. (The orgnaisers would make very, very sure of it.)

Daft, stupid idea from a domestic fans' perspective, but I don't think it's going to diminish the appeal of Premier League matches for those watching overseas. which is all the beancounters care about.
