same as usual loaf.....
but have to coat it with a special tigery paste to give it its tigerness....
Ingredients
Makes: 1 Big loaf or 12 buns
360g plain white flour
1/4 pint or 8 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons yeast (active) or 1 packet
1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
1 tablespoon cooking oil
4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons rice flour (corn flour)
4 tablespooons milk
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Method
Prep:2hr ? Cook:35min ? Ready in:2hr35min
1.In a large bowl mix the plain white flour and salt. In a separate bowl or glass jug warm 1/4 pint of milk and water, add the sugar and yeast. Stir and leave for 10 minutes.
2.Once milk/yeast mixture is frothy, add the sesame and cooking oil. Stir in to flour and mix.
3.Knead dough for 6 or 7 minutes, its hard work but its worth it.
4.Cover dough in a bowl with clingfilm. Leave for about 50 minute, until the dough has doubled in size.
5.Knead again for about a minute and shape into loaf or buns and place on a baking tray or stone. Mix the milk and rice flour together with a drop of sesame seed oil and coat the loaf.
6.After 30 minutes, pop in the oven at 180 C / Gas 4 for about 35 minutes. When its browning on top remove of the oven and leave to cool on a cooling rack.
7.Enjoy!
Tip
Mix and knead by hand, it's so much better than a mixer. Get the kids to help.
